I run Mission Hypnotism which is based in Odiham, Hampshire close to the Surrey and Berkshire borders. My clients  mainly come from the area roughly bounded by Basingstoke, Farnham, Alton, Fleet and Reading, but can come from anywhere (the furthest so far is Bahrain). I’ve also just arranged to consult and treat clients in central Farnham (see Front Page News)

I’m a Senior Associate of The Royal Society of Medicine, and I’m a Registered Hypnotherapist with the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHR Reg.). I’m a Member of the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Therapists. a Licentiate of The Hypnotherapy Society (LHS), and have also been awarded the General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice (GQHP), again by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. I’m a Certified Hypnotic Birthing Process Practitioner (National Council for Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy),  and the C. Reg. stands for an added qualification in Past Life Regression techniques. I’m also a Registered Supplier (No.48078) to the NHS for Hypnotherapy Services. As recently as December 2010, I was invited to join the Hypnotherapy Register of the Natural and Complementary Healthcare Council, which is sponsored by the Dept. of Health. You can easily check with any of these organizations if you’d like to.

As well as these, I’ve had additional specialist training in Smoking Cessation, Weight Management, Pain Management, Hypnotherapy for Sports Performance, and treatment of Phobias, amongst other things.

I’m also a qualified NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) Practitioner and qualified Life Coach.

I’m only listing all this to offer some re-assurance that when you choose to contact me by phone or otherwise, your inquiry will be dealt with in a friendly, practical and professional way. Many people have benefited from fast, effective help by doing so.

I’m also fortunate in that I’ve had a lot of relevant experience of life prior to settling in to Hypnotherapy. I’ve worked as a specialist buyer of submarine equipment for the Ministry of Defence, an Assistant Manager of a High Street chain store, a motor industry Parts manager, a Sales Manager in New Zealand for three years, a Sales Representative, and a General Manager in a multi-million pound turnover Rolls-Royce and Jaguar dealership, and a Personnel Officer. I’ve also owned and run my own car parts business (motor factor), and my own courier business, distributing confidential and high value goods around the south of England. I’ve even had my own business creating décor for weddings, parties and corporate events, and for a short while I was an official Department of  Transport Driving Instructor.

You’ll notice that virtually all these things are “people” oriented.

My wife is a trained nurse, and also a Reflexologist, and I have twin daughters, one of whom is a languages teacher (and who has just presented me with my first grandchild – (hi Orlando -), and the other a lawyer.

All this comes in very useful in relating to my clients conditions, problems and situations. I’d far rather have had these sorts of experiences than work in something  more isolated.

I’m bound by the professional ethics of the organizations to which I belong to act with your best interests at heart at all times, an obligation I continue to take seriously, and I choose to practice only from my home address and the one other in Farnham.

If I felt the need to boost my credibility, I could easily claim my address was say, a solitary room rented by the hour in Harley Street. I could also waffle on in a self-congratulatory and boastful way about the degrees I’ve got. You want to know what I can do for you, don’t you? – not what I claim to have done for myself.

Similarly (or as well as) I suppose I could just be a “gypsy” therapist, and  advertise from a scattered assortment of sparse rented rooms all over the place, as some operators  do,  -  but I’d rather be based local to the clients I deal with. Doesn’t that sound sensible to you?
